Conceptual, Basic & Detailed Engineering

Engineering across all phases — conceptual, basic (FEED) and detailed — for compliant, buildable pharmaceutical facilities.

Overview

Sound engineering through every phase keeps a project compliant, buildable and on budget; gaps between phases are where cost and schedule overruns are born. PharmExpert provides and reviews conceptual, basic (front-end engineering design) and detailed engineering for pharmaceutical facilities, utilities and process systems.

Conceptual design establishes feasibility and the design basis from the URS. Basic engineering (FEED) develops the process, layout and specifications to the point where scope, cost and schedule are reliable. Detailed engineering produces the construction-ready package. We work at whichever phase you need, and ensure each hands cleanly to the next.

Across these phases we deliver the engineering substance — process and instrumentation diagrams, equipment and utility specifications, HVAC and cleanroom design, and room data sheets — with GMP, safety and qualification requirements embedded throughout rather than bolted on at the end.

Many clients use us for independent, owner-side review of an EPC contractor's deliverables, catching compliance and qualification issues before they are built. Whether we author the engineering or assure someone else's, the goal is a facility that is right by design and straightforward to qualify.

  • Basic engineering / FEED packages
  • Detailed engineering and construction-ready documentation
  • Process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and equipment specs
  • Utility and HVAC design and specification
  • Design review and engineering-deliverable QA

Produce front-end engineering design and specifications.

  3. 3

    Detail

    Deliver detailed, construction-ready engineering.

  4. 4

    Review

QA engineering deliverables against GMP and qualification needs.

What you receive
